The finely-crafted blade is polished and lacquered with clear varnish for rust protection. It’s securely fixed to the polished, FSC-certified hickory handle. 
At 380mm in length, it can be easily used in more confined spaces as opposed to a longer axe. This is a significant advantage when you’re doing tasks like chopping tree roots, where it’s not possible to swing a full-sized 860 mm axe.
