Want to remove excess water quickly and efficiently? This 750W dirty water pump from Hawksmoor has got your back. It’s powerful enough to pump out up to 216 litres of water per minute – that’s nearly 13,000 litres in an hour.
This watertight pump can be fully submerged and lowered to a water depth of 7m. It has a sturdy handle on top, which you can attach a rope to whenever you need to submerge, lift or secure the unit. Its lowest start-up level is 145mm and it requires a minimum water level of 35mm.
For peace of mind, thermal overload protection will turn off the pump if the motor starts to overheat. It also comes with a float switch, which can turn the pump on or off automatically with changes to the water level – this ensures you’ll use no more electricity than you need to.
The pump is capable of pumping dirty water containing solids or particles of up to 35mm in diameter. Using it with water containing abrasive substances such as sand should be avoided, though. It’s not suitable for continuous use either – resting the pump for 10 minutes after each hour of use is recommended, so it’s not suitable for fish ponds or fountains.
